Sector-Specific Stormwater Regulations 101 - This training is designed to educate environmental managers of municipal or privately owned industrial facilities about the regulatory basis of stormwater permitting and prepare operators to address general and sector-specific MSGP requirements. This training is appropriate for municipalities, trade associations, a meeting of a company's regional environmental managers and other groups. This training is generally five hours long, including a question and answer session.

Initial Consultation and Operator Training - Schedule an on-site visit to address questions about the permit requirements applicable to your operation. An introductory training and a binder of useful information and links provided to environmental manager during the initial visit.

Facility-Specific Staff Training - This training is designed to satisfy annual industrial stormwater general permit staff training requirements for a single facility or company. This training is appropriate for managers, members of the stormwater pollution prevention team and staff with responsibilities that may affect quality of stormwater discharges. Water Action will provide training at your facility or develop facility-specific content that can be accessed online.

How to Develop Your Own Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) - In order to obtain coverage under the MSGP, an operator must first develop and implement a site specific SWPPP that meets or exceeds the requirements of the MSGP. Water Action Compliance Assistance & Planning LLC fuses your knowledge of facility operations with the experience of the former New York State MSGP Program Coordinator to expertly craft a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan for your facility.

Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) Template Instruction for Marinas - This training is offered to marina operators who need a headstart on developing their own SWPPP using a template provided by Water Action Compliance Assistance & Planning LLC Eight hours of phone consultation is included with each license. The information in this permit is great for new administrations who need a primer on their municipality's responsibilities under the permit.

Plant Selection 101 - Green stormwater practices can prove to be a cost-effective stormwater control that create a pleasing environment for patrons and enhance property values, but how is a non-botanist supposed to know if a plan includes appropriate plant species for a green infrastructure or mitigation project? This training provides basic information for municipal or facility employees and environmental managers with plan review responsibilities.

Public Education Program Development - The MSGP requires facilities engaged in Sector N activities to develop a public education component as part of their stormwater pollution prevention program. The MS4 General Permit includes a Public Education and Outreach as one of the Minimum Control Measures. We provide custom designed training to facility operators and municipalities to assist in development of educational programs to meet these requirements.
